34-year-old infielder Niels van der Weert made a late transfer from Quick Amersfoort to L&D Amsterdam in early February. He is replacing outfielder Gilmer Lampe on the roster, who has left the Pirates for Unipol Bologna in the Italian Serie A. While the transfer deadline in the Netherlands already closed at the end of October last year, due to the agreement of Quick Amersfoort the transfer was still possible.
