The Therwil Flyers have defended their title in the Swiss Nationalliga A. They beat the Zurich Barracudas 5-4 in the decisive game five on Saturday at home at Känelmatt ballpark. It was a thriller with Therwil trailing 0-3 midway through the eighth. But they scored two runs in the eighth and one in the ninth on home runs by David Castillo and Sven Leeman to force extra innings. Zurich would regain the lead with a run in the top half of the tenth, but the Flyers answered with two in the bottom half to win the game and the championship.
