Lithuanian right-hander Dovydas Neverauskas, the first player from his country to play in Major League Baseball, is going to suit up in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball for the 2021 season. The Pittsburgh Pirates released him a couple of days ago to help him sign with Hiroshima Carp. The 27-year-old appeared in 17 games for the Pirates during the 2020 season with an ERA of 7.11 and 23 strikeouts and ten walks in 19 innings. Overall he had an ERA of 6.81 in 76 games with 77 strikeouts and 35 walks in 80 2/3 innings during his four-year MLB career.
