The Executive Committee of WBSC Europe’s Baseball Division unveiled the dates and organizers of the 2021 European Baseball National Teams and Clubs competitions.
National Team Competitions
Senior Men
Biggest event of the year, the European Baseball Championship Senior will take place in Piemonte, Italy, from September 11/12th to 18/19th (exact date yet to be confirmed). 16 teams will participate in this new format after it was announced earlier that the competition would expand from 12 to 16 teams.
4 teams will join the 12 already qualified for the event (the 12 teams from the 2019 edition) from the Qualifiers B/C Level, one for each group being organized from June 29/30th to July 3th/4th (exact date TBC) in Moscow, Russia, Utenos, Lithuania, Beograd, Serbia and Bratislava, Slovakia.
Senior Women
The 2nd edition of the European Baseball Championship Women Senior will take place in Montpellier, France from July 28th to the 31th. It’s a continental qualifier for the 2022 WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup.
U23 Men
There hasn’t been any bids yet for the U23 European Baseball Championship which is scheduled from August 3/4th to 7/8th, so hosting rights of this 2022 WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup qualification event are still open.
As a consequence of the postponement of the U23 EBC, there will be no U23 Qualifier in 2021.
U18 Men
Continental qualifier for the 2021 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup, the U18 European Baseball Championship will be played from July 5th to the 11th in Macerata, Italy. The event, which was scheduled in 2020, has been postponed because of the Covid-19.
As a consequence, there will also be Qualifiers for the U18 European Baseball Championship in 2021, from August 9th to the 14th. One group has been awarded to Syndyberg, Sweden, the hosting rights of the second group are stil open.
U15 Boys
Continental qualifier for the 2022 WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup, the U15 European Baseball Championship will be played from July 20/21st to 24/25th in Trnava, Slovakia and Brno, Czech Republic.
As a consequence of the postponement of the U15 EBC, there will be no U15 Qualifier in 2021.
U12 Boys
Continental qualifier for the 2021 WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup, the U12 European Baseball Championship will be played July 6th to 10th in Mortsel, Belgium. The U12 EBC Qualifier will also be played at the same place and date.
Club Competitions
Champions Cup
Main club event of the European calendar, the Champions Cup will be played from May 25/26th to 29/30th in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
CEB Cup
The 2021 CEB Cup will be played from May 25/26th to 29/30th in Sénart, France.
Federation Cup
The 2021 Federation Cup will be played from June 7/8th to 12/13th in Brasschaat, Belgium.
Federation Cup Qualifiers
The 2021 Federation Cup Qualifiers will be played from June 7/8th to 12/13th and are still open to bids.
