On Saturday they defeated the Perth Heat 9-4 to sweep the Championship Series 2-0. Tim Atherton struck out ten batters in eight innings to lead the way. Andrew Campbell, Wade Dutton and TJ Bennett hit home runs to support the cause. Germany’s Donald Lutz, who batted .186/.312/.310 with four home runs in 40 games this season, was 0-for-2 in the game. Brisbane took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series with a 3-2 win on Thursday.
