The World Baseball Softball Confederation revealed the participating teams for the U15 Baseball World Cup in Iwaki, Japan this week. European Champion Germany declined an invitation due to concerns regarding the location of the event. The tournament is being held at the Iwaki region in Japan, which was hit by an earthquake, a tsunami and a nuclear accident.
Only one European team is remaining in the field with the Czech Republic. The Americas will have six of the 12 spots in the tournament with Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Panama, USA and Venezuela. Asia is represented by Chinese Taipei, South Korea and Japan. Oceania will have two teams with Australia and New Zealand.
The U15 Baseball World Cup will be played from July 29 to August 7.
